TimelyGrader August 27th Update

New sign-up flow and new ways to import a rubric!

You can now recreate rubrics!

Another popular request from you that we are finally ready to share: recreating rubrics via file upload or by pasting them in. This would be particularly useful if you don’t have rubrics built in your Canvas, D2L, or Moodle course. Maybe you don’t want to show students the rubric, or you aren’t using an LMS integration. Here’s how this will help you:

  1. When you create a new rubric, a new option a new ‘I Have a Rubric’ option is now available to import your existing rubric.

‘I Have A Rubric’ is a new option!

  2. You can either upload an .pdf or .docx file that contains your rubric OR just copy and paste the content in.

You can upload your rubric file or paste in the content.

  3. Et voilà! Your rubric is recreated. Some adjustments may be made if information is missing or if the rubric needs to be adjusted to fit the TimelyGrader structure.

Recreating takes around 15-30 seconds depending on your complexity.

New sign up flow!

We are changing how users sign up to TimelyGrader via the self platform to make it more secure and accessible to institutional users trying out TimelyGrader.

New users signing up to TimelyGrader will now verify their email addresses using a code as recommended by AWS. This will prevent spam filters clicking on verification URLs and rendering them used. It should prevent any frustrations new users will have when it comes to verifying their new accounts.

When is it coming?

These updates will be available to all institutional partners with an LMS integration on August 27th at 4PM PST!
