Assessments Compatibility Coming Soon!
Exams, quizzes, short answers, and more!
I get it - assignments aren’t the only things that instructors are grading. There are quizzes, discussion boards, and exams. That’s why I always hear:
“Can you grade my exams also?”
“How about my quizzes?!”
“Or my discussion boards?!?”
Well finally, we are making TimelyGrader compatible with these types of assessments. On TimelyGrader, assignments such as essays, reports, and other file submissions will stay as Assignments. Exams and quizzes can now be graded as Assessments. It doesn’t matter if it’s hand-written, electronic, done on Canvas/D2L quizzes, they are all the same to our image recognition system so we can handle them with ease.
The first step is to upload your existing exam or quiz to re-create on TimelyGrader. If your institution uses our API integration, we can pull it directly from your Canvas or D2L and re-create it here. Regardless if it’s multiple choice, short answer, true/false, long form answers, and etc, we can re-create them automatically.

You will be able to select correct answers and assign scores for multiple choice, true-false, and use a rubric (via our rubric generator or use your own) for subjective questions such as short answers and long form answers. You can upload an answer key to let TimelyGrader handle the section and review afterwards.
Once set up, you can upload student submissions or import them directly from Canvas or D2L. Then validate and review as normal to ensure there is a human-in-the-loop.

Grades can then be exported or pushed directly back Canvas and D2L (if the API integration is installed). And voila, you are done with grading.
That’s it for our sneak-peek for Assessments, coming soon to TimelyGrader! All users from our institutional partners will gain priority access first and then we will gradually roll out to our self-serve users.
In other news: Fine-Tuning and Administrative Dashboard are coming soon in March.
