TimelyGrader Fall 2024 Product Update 🎉
Hello there, it’s Chris, founder of TimelyGrader. I am here to give you an update on what we’ve been up to this summer and share some exciting news.
1) Annotations for AI grading and feedback
Here’s a sneak peek of the annotation feature coming this Thursday. Annotations will help instructors focus on areas of the student's work so they can validate AI grading and feedback faster. For students, this will help shift their focus so they can easily understand where to apply the feedback.

2) A new way to view feedback
We’ve split feedback into two major sections: a) general feedback and b) detailed feedback. General feedback, AKA macro feedback, provides commentary about the student’s work whereas detailed feedback, AKA micro-feedback, provides actionable steps for students to improve.
Each detailed feedback item carries its own annotations and students can vote if the feedback was helpful or not!

3) Melting away in Vegas @ InstructureCon 2024
It was our first time at an InstructureCon and it was a fruitful trip down to Vegas! Nick got sunburned within 30 minutes and I learned it is a bad idea to start a sauna business (it was 118F). In all seriousness, we met a lot of cool people and important connections were made.

4) More advocate stories!
We’ve been meeting faculty members coast to coast and the momentum is picking up. Just listen to these instructors share their stories with us warms our hearts:
“Grading is my biggest headache and greatest weakness. I want to provide timely feedback so I love the platform.” - Mary, Fort Hays State University
“I spend too much time on grading - TimelyGrader helps me become more efficient.” - Kent, Northwestern University
“There’s a lot of value in TimelyGrader.” - Derek, University of North Dakota
“I can see how TimelyGrader is going to be helpful for my students.” - Adam, Shippensburg University
See you next time!
